SketchBook Ink is out. And though there are a couple of little buggy things, I like it. It feels totally different than SketchBook Pro. It should, it has a completely different graphics engine. If you move a brush slowly around it feels like you're dragging around a wet brush. Dynamics change with speed and your zoom level. It's very simple, has an option to bring in a photo, which I did here, a piece of paper stored in my gallery. I need to play with it more. What does it need? LAYERS, please, would be most important. Line on one, color then on another below. Hopefully someday copy and paste. Perhaps the ability to transform the photo layer.... But I can see keeping this app simple.
Now there is something kinda neat too. I took a SketchBook Pro normal size canvas into the photo layer and exported it to dropbox at the largest rez.... I opened it in Photoshop, changed the dpi to 300, the pix size was a whopping 21.333 x 16, yes @ 300 dpi. I did some test prints on my Epson and I'll tell you they are amazing. Not perfect, I did have to sharpen it up, but only a bit. So play around with that concept.
This is v.1 and to me worth the two bucks. I know Autodesk. Ink will get better.
